Used Cars in Toronto
I’m not one of those people who always has to have the newest thing. I used my old smartphone until I literally couldn’t turn it on anymore. I mean, it had a small crack on the screen and it was so slow. I don’t even think it could handle the new software updates anymore. But, I finally had to give in and upgrade.
The same thing happened to my car in a way. It wasn’t a new car when I bought it, I think it had close to 50,000 miles on it but I added more than 100,000 to the odometer before it started having major problems. So, when it was time to say goodbye, I knew I could find another used car in Toronto that I would drive for many years to come.
I didn’t really know where to start so I did what everyone does these days. I turned to the internet. After looking at all of the cars that were available in my area, I looked a little deeper into the different models and narrowed it down to 2 different cars. They both happened to be at the same dealer, too, so it saved me a little time because I wouldn’t have to keep going from place to place.
I was a little worried because I wasn’t going to have 2 different people making competing offers but it turns out that didn’t matter. The woman I met with was so nice and willing to help me out in any way she could. I took both for a test drive which narrowed down my choice from 2 to 1. Once I thought I knew which one I wanted, the saleswoman even let me take it to my mechanic to get it looked over.
Here’s the kicker. My mechanic did find a few little things that needed to be addressed. When I told the dealer, she said that they would take care of it if I wanted them to. I told her I’d really rather my guy do the work so she asked if I could get an estimate on the price. Then she offered to knock that amount off the price. I was blown away by how helpful she was.
Anyway, used cars are for me. They’ve always served me well in the past and I’m really excited about this one. Also before I forget to mention I found my car dealership in toronto here: https://www.carcanuck.ca/
Combined with my no deposit car insurance I saved a lot of money!
Very Cheap Car Insurance No Deposit – Best Gift Ever!
~ This is a story of my youth, a really old story at that, but I felt like sharing, enjoy! ~
My parents bought me a car my junior year in high school as a birthday gift. Yes, I was lucky to have a car at that age but it wasn’t fancy or anything and the deal was that I had to pay for the insurance myself. I worked a few shifts a week at a grocery store so I had a little spending money, but I really needed to make sure I found the right policy. Specifically, very cheap car insurance no deposit.( Here’s what that is: http://www.verycheapcarinsurancenodeposit.com/)
With the help of my dad, I found a few really great leads online and started making some calls. It was the most adult thing I’d done at that point in my life, trying to find myself something affordable. I was overwhelmed at first but my parents supported me and kind of encouraged me to do as much of the process on my own as I could. Another way to teach me responsibility I suppose.
Believe it or not, I found what I was looking for. I didn’t have to put anything down and kept my monthly payments pretty minimal. With the money I made from working, the bill was easily manageable. Of course, I didn’t make the car payment which obviously helped, but I still felt like a mature adult. Like, I’d talked to real insurance agents and basically told them what was up.
I found a great agent who was willing to help me out and I worked out a pretty good deal for myself. I wouldn’t call it “negotiating” because I was a teenager and basically just said, “Here’s all that I can pay.” But I was really surprised by how receptive she was. I thought that everyone would just laugh at me, but she didn’t.
My mom and dad were right about the whole responsibility thing. Like, having to do that myself made me feel pretty capable and that really came in handy for me. I asked for a promotion at work and was shocked when I actually got it. Then, I asked for a bigger raise than they were offering, and I got it. All in all, it’s fair to say that the process of finding my insurance made me value it more and gave me a bit of confidence that I didn’t really have before. Who would have thought that my parents knew what they were doing?
It’s a question I ask myself far too often
Welcome to wichitaama, my personal blog.
So who am I?
Good question, I’m a father, a son, a regular dude!
Okay, enough of being weird. My name is Jorie, I’m a insurance agent and part time philosopher in texas. Where in texas? Good question; unfortunately I’ll keep that a secret :).
This blog is meant to be ramblings of a semi normal texan; who also happens to work as a insurance agent.
